Dear Hwayobi fans,

Happy New Year!! It has been a long while since my last update. I was in Korea for the past weeks but sadly, i was not lucky to get to watch Yobi in concert this year. Of all years, she decided not to have her annual concert this year..omona. I didn’t have much luck either  to see Yobi at Younha’s concert on 26 Dec 2010. Yobi was the guest and she sang a duet with Younha, “Please take care of my boyfriend”, the song that she had written and she also sang, “Bye Bye Bye”. Younha’s song seems to be a hit in Korea as I kept hearing this song being played in some shops.

Omooo it is a sad lyric about a girl leaving a guy as he is happier with someone else but will still “take care of him” from afar.

Our special lovely book for Yobi is still in my care 🙁 as I didn’t get to retrieve any postage address to post it to Yobi. Since she has moved to a new agency, we have yet to hear any updates from her. Yobi ssi, you have been missed lots! Hope to hear from you very soon.

Nevertheless, i had a wonderful and blissful trip…Korea is a beautiful country with warmth people. To all, may all of you have a blessed and great year ahead. Fighting!!!

For those who are still struggling in understanding the MV ^^. A dear fan, Malene has her thoughts on it “Real life is not full of constant beauty all the time. And love is not simple. While the melody (and vocals) of this song is beautiful, the lyrics are not. (Well, it’s beautiful in the sense that it’s well-written, but the content of the song is not beautiful. It’s sad.) So I think maybe that’s what the director wanted to convey, that humans are sometimes far from Hollywood beauty, and love is far from simple, and it gives us many feelings. (Hence the different, sometimes weird expressions on their faces.) I think the MV goes well with the song, and it was also able to capture the pain and confused feelings…“

I am also proud of Yobi that she didn’t utilized any idols popularity or mannequin beauties for this MV. She moves aways from the norm and anything that is non- mainstream is very much to my liking. Well done Yobi ssi!. Malene’s expression on this MV has shed some light in appreciating its beauty that not everyone sees it. Unless you allow yourself too ^^.
