“A Woman Like Me” in Top Ten

It has been about 3 weeks since her comeback and nearing every weekend, I always hope to catch a glimpse of her in Music Shows. It has been rather strange that she has yet to perform in any music shows since her comeback.

She has been on radio shows daily and also performing at public concert events. Unfortunately, for us overseas fans we are not able to watch any of her appearances since it is VERY RARE…or NEVER EVER we have the luxury of watching her fancams/ videos from these appearances. I hope there are some fans who care to share.

For her not to appear on music shows, it kinds of upset me somehow. Aish maybe it is just a “bad weather day” for me today that kind of makes me feel rather upset to know that many of us are waiting for  her comeback performances. Week after week but none. But I really hope we can watch her soon…very soon. I wonder why…:(

Shall we CHEER her on ? We hope to create and deliver to her a simple mini photo- quote book that is filled with words of love from fans. With hope that this mini book may help to spruce her low days and cheer her on tiring days. Yobi is well- versed in English, she will definitely understand your “words of love” ^^.

221010: Hwayobi on Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook

Finally, we get to watch her performances. It has been a long wait since her song was released. Yobi sang “Ribbon in the sky” by Stevie Wonder and “A Woman Like Me”.  She talks about her current image/ style which she plays a major role in the idea of the style concepts. I hope to get to “understand” it soon since I am still digesting on what style is she donning.  She also prepares kimbab (hand wrapped rice rolls) for the staff and some of the lucky fans got to taste it. As always her performances evoke emotions. You can hear her “heart” crying….Yobi ssi…

Hwayobi 3rd mini album review

Hwayobi celebrated her 10th anniversary as a singer with her self titled album released earlier this year( Check out the review here) and released her self composed mini album, Woman Like Me last week. Many people know her as ‘dog poop’ from variety show We Got Married where she was in a fake relationship with Fly To The Sky member, Hwanhee.

나 같은 여자 (A Woman Like Me) is a ballad about a woman’s thought about love. The thing I love about this song is that it’s so simple and the violins along with her husky voice compliment each other. It’s an emotional song, with beautiful lyrics.

Hwayobi featured in Woo Joo, "Happy Together" digital single

Hwayobi is featured in Woo Joo title song for his new mini album which was released on 19 Oct 2010. The song is titled, “Happy Together”. It is a really lovely song with upbeat tempo and happy melody. Last September, he did performed this song before it was released (watch the above video), For the above performance, it does sound like the lady singer at the end did lip- synced to Yobi’s voice…Am I right or I was hallucinating ?
