Since it is rather rare to have Hwayobi’s songs to be translated for our understanding, a dear kind soul, Crazsri has kindly provide a brief synopsis of the songs below. The dear kind peepz at romanization.wordpress have also provide the hangul and romanization lyrics of Hwayobi’s Vol. 7 album here. Of course, we always welcome if there are any kind souls who would like to help translate the songs, especially because all the songs were written by the diva herself. She also composed 6 of the songs (Bye Bye Bye / Baby Gone Baby Gone / More Than Love / iLuvMe / Zero / Cloud 9). It would be extra special for us to know her insights on love especially.
1. Booty Call
It’s about the guy who only calls her when he needed her. As the chorus goes We don’t have to be sssso sorry no more, I hate your 12 oclock phone calls, you don’t have to take me through the fire, looking at your back view I’m not crying any more. The girl is sick and tired of being his booty call as she is only his Friday lover and she cannot accept it.
2. Bye Bye Bye
It’s about the girl who cannot get over her love. Where the guy is able to leave her and easily take away her love and memories. However, the girl can only cry and could not grab onto him. She doesn’t want to say the word break up and neither ending the relationship, nor say that she would be able to live without him. And the chorus says it all, I’m in love with you forever I’m in love with you forever, I’m in love with you forever, Why why why why why. why goodbye.
3. Sso What
It’s a nice romantic song about a girl who expresses her love to a guy. However, the guy already has a girlfriend. But she still likes him and expresses her love and ask whether the guy feels the same way for her. The rap portion explains that the guy wishes to be with her but doesn’t want to create trouble (with the girlfriend) but she can find him when he’s alone. But she still believe that he should be her boy.
4. Baby Gone Baby Gone
I can’t believe, how far you have left me, without saying anything and turned his back and leave, I can’t believe, there wasn’t any tears. This is a sad song about a guy who has left the girl. But the girl still believes that they can still be together if they were to take a step back.
5. Cream No Sugar
The song is about a love that is incomplete. The love was a lie, it was a bubble love. A love that cannot prevail in front of time. The song about a love that cannot be fulfilled by both parties. Questioning who was the one at fault, waking up from their dream too quickly.
6. 가끔은.. 남자도.. (Sometimes… Guys too…)
This song is about loving someone. When you tell me ’bout it, I would have embrace you for love, When you tell me ’bout it, I want to share your tears, Tell me all about it Everything, Tell me all about it , that is real love. Where the person is willing to do anything for love.
7. More than love
The song is about the person’s love so strong that she wishes for more, and became afraid of parting. The love increases even though it’s the same and became afraid of truthful words. Baby i can care ’bout you for a long time It’s more than love. Boy i never wanna be without your heart Don’t let it down. This explains everything.
8. iLuvMe
This song is about how a girl learns about loving herself more and true love after the guy left, She doesn’t care anymore and it too late for the guys to regret. For the girl has learnt to love herself more and learnt about true love. Guys have to grab the one last chance.
9. Zero
This song is about a girl’s plea to make a guy not leave her. I’ll never never ever be in this place Waitin’, Don’t break it break it break it please come back baby, I’ll give it give it give it, for you, I can forget my first love.
Thanks Crazsri…It is indeed more meaningful to know the meaning of the songs.
